Drone Workforce Solutions Graduates its Inaugural Drone Class

On December 13, 2017, Drone Workforce Solutions (DWS Drones) will complete its first
class of Delaware residents aspiring to be FAA commercial drone pilots.
On September 30, 2017, 12 students began a 10-week, 70-hour course which included in
part topics such as: the anatomy of drones (building their own), aerodynamics and
principles of flight, weather, reading sectional charts, flight planning & air space, aerial
photography, videography/editing, and many hours of flying drones.
With the help of a grant from the Delaware Department of Labor, our students received a
top-notch education in drone technology that prepared them to pass the FAA Part 107 test
and to seize job opportunities in this $100 billion dollar industry.
Drone Workforce Solutions has started a pipeline of talented commercial FAA certified
drone operators to expand the state’s technology sector and increase sustainable
employment for men and women from diverse backgrounds of today’s working families.
DWS graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion from Drone Workforce Solutions;
the only drone training company that is approved by the Delaware Department of
Education, the New Jersey Department of Education, and the New Jersey Department of
Labor and Workforce Development. The expansion of commercial drones could add $82
billion in economic value over the next ten years and by 2025 employ an additional
100,000 Americans.
DWS is seeking interested students for their next drone class to be scheduled for the spring
of 2018. Through its website, droneworkforcesolutions.com, candidates should send
their name, and contact information to receive upcoming dates to attend one of DWS’s
FREE Open House informational classes.
DWS also offers employment opportunities for FAA certified drone pilots through its drone
staffing and employment part of the company. Pilots are encouraged to contact DWS
through its website for more information.
Drone Workforce Solutions was formed by Visionary and company President, Theophilus R. Nix,
Jr., Esq. and his wife Suzanne Nix, COO. Their goal is to be recognized as “THE” premier
global staffing and placement company for drone operators, with the “Best in Class”
standards for providing service and employee staffing for organizations interested in
